Proper process to give non-renewal of lease

We are moving back into our property Jan. 2020 and lease expires Jan. 1, 2020.  What is proper/legal and courtesy way to give written notice to the tenant? We did let the tenant know verbally in August that it would be happening, to give her as much notice as possible.

    Dear Tenant,

Please accept this written notice that your lease is scheduled to terminate on January 1, 2020. Please notify us when you are out so we can arrange a time to pick up the keys and inspect the unit.

We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
