I have only used FurnishedFinders and it has worked out pretty well for us in Arizona, over the last 2 years, just renting a room in our house.  We ended up installing a private entrance door and gate to the bedroom[room is in back of our house] which I think is a big plus.

@Nathan Gesner Thought I would provide a good news update and hopefully provide encouragement to all that may still be pending CERA.  I received my funds via auto deposit this week.  I was approved in June and was originally told 2-3 weeks, which translates to 4 months[who knew, LOL].

If it helps, I can say that I just started calling CERA weekly to check for any updates and was told each time that it was pending distribution.  I was able to get through relatively quickly[longest hold 15-20min] and everyone I spoke to was polite.

Wishing all the best to everyone.

Feeling Blessed!

Jessie

@Nathan Gesner Thanks Nathan.  Odd, PM never referenced direct deposit and only said they were waiting on a physical check.  Are you working and staying with your tenants once you get back payments or ending the lease?

I have a tenant who is claiming Covid assistance, and my PM has filed with CERA and we are just waiting for payment.  My PM has reached out to their office as we are told a "check" will be sent or we cna possible come by a local office to pick it up.

Any guidance or information that you have found helpful?

Thanks,

Jessie

Hi BB community, I'm looking for real estate attorney(s) referral for cities of Detroit and Inkster MI.  I just spoke to my PM and their attorney did not send a 30 day notice on my Detroit prop. that has come to the end of their lease in May.  I gave instruction to send it at 60 days to give the tenant plenty of notice.  The tenant has been calling the PM, several times, to renew and they just keep saying that they are checking as we have not had response from attorney since Friday's email requesting update.   The tenant  was prev. delinquent but has caught up now and very much wants to renew but I'm transitioning out of SF to multi plex.

Thanks in advance for the the assistance.

Jess

Hi Rachel, I concur with Scott E.  I currently use Furnished Finders to rent a spare bedroom our home.  They connect you with traveling nurses, there are other types of travelers but mostly in the medical field.   I have had good success and experiences and feel better renting to traveling medical professionals than general public from other sites.  Happy to answer any questions.  Reminder, Super Bowl coming to AZ in 2023!  You have a beautiful home.

We are moving back into our property Jan. 2020 and lease expires Jan. 1, 2020.  What is proper/legal and courtesy way to give written notice to the tenant? We did let the tenant know verbally in August that it would be happening, to give her as much notice as possible.
