Can anyone recommend a collection agency or atty who could assist on collecting past due rent and repairs on the damage done from a former tenant. She was originally in Connecticut, but has moved to New Jersey. She works as a gov't employee. She owes us over 5k. Open to ideas.

@Account Closed We send delinquent accounts to HF Holdings. Pay a small fee if you don't have their ssn/dob to skiptrace, but other than that its free until they collect. Having the collection sitting on their credit report is the biggest leverage in most cases, and HF does report to the big 3. PM me for my account rep's info.

@Matthew Olszak I'm curious. After you send their backlog of rent or damages or whatever the case may be, how does it typically take for them to pay it off? Or even find out about it going to collections?
Fortunately, I have never had anything sent to collections before so I have no frame of reference.
