Question on potential tenant

Hello, asking for a friend, seriously. She has a 1950.00 house for rent, and a tenant prospect who has signed a lease, shown pay stubs which checked out, but has a 675 credit score.

She was a bit difficult on getting security deposit check for 1950.00 handed to my friend, which initially made her uncomfortable. When she finally did, the check bounced. The woman said she forgot to transfer funds to her checking account.

How does everyone feel about these sort of red flags prior to the move in date? Would you put her in the house without additional sources of income verification? Is it out of line to ask for bank account snapshots to verify that this person has funds, and reserve funds?

Unless you are able to negotiate a buyout or termination of the lease, the bed has unfortunately already been made.  Any additional screening should have been done prior.
