Rental Seasonality - Best Time to List?

Chip Marchand
Posted

After months of reading, research and talking to lots of real estate investors, I’m looking to purchase my first investment property. Question is, in your opinion or experience, what are the best and worst times to list a property for rent? I’m assuming we’re moving in to the slower time of year where properties run the risk of sitting for an extended period of time?

For me I can list any time of the year and have no problem renting a vacant house in my area.

People that have kids are more likely to move when school is out so summer is the best time.

People always have a reason why they have to move.

Unless you are in a very rural area I wouldn't worry too much about it.
