How many SFR do you own or can you own?

Candace Price
Posted

I'm getting into buying SFR, my goal is to buy 2-3 every month in short sale and refi once rented and repeat.

I talked to some big banks, they said once you have 15 properties it will be difficult to under write new properties... so I would be stuck then.

My goal was to build a portfolio of 200+ SFR

any advice if I can achieve it with buying 2-3 properties each month.

Thanks

@Candace Price - Just start buying SFR in whatever way is available to you TODAY and worry about 15+ once you get to 15. And here is what will happen... Somewhere between 2 and 14, you will discover that this is just an imaginary problem that people invent in their mind as an excuse not to take action NOW. If there is anyone living who owns more than 15 rental properties (there is), then there is also a solution to this "problem" (there are several by the way) - and you will learn them along the way. But if you really must know now... Commercial Loans, Portfolio Loans, Private Lenders, Syndication, etc...
