Section 8 Yay or Nay? (in Bronx NY)

Hi all
Saw a property I liked, but it has a few section 8 tenets.
Supposedly their leases have already expired. and if the new owner choose to renew. Section 8 will up the rent from 1350 to 1500 a month (this is in Bronx NY)
Area isn't great, but also not the worst.

What do you guys think about Section 8?
is it worth it? are the tenants typically worse then normal renters?

I don't know anyone thats had section 8 tents, so I'm throwing the question out here.

Also whats the chance of these section 8 programs getting closed down??
