Anybody notice this about messy tenants?

I've had to clean-up after several different departed tenants. I've noticed the same items left behind in just about all of them. They always seem to leave a broom and/or a vacuum cleaner. It's odd because often the place hasn't been swept or vacuumed for months, yet there is a working vacuum sitting there for me to use if cleaning is more "my thing." Maybe they bought it but couldn't figure out how to use it??

Have not found a vacuum yet. The last move out I did the tenant must have really been into gardening because they left a plant in the basement. I think it was some type of fern :)

They were great tenants always paid right on time with cash.
