Termites in my Craftsman rental

Hey folks, I just got a termite report on a 1939 Craftsman rental I own, and there are two different types of termites found: Subterranean, and another I forget the name if. Cost: $2400 and the termite company says they're doing me a favor. My question is if I get the report from them which should show exactly where the termites are, do you think it possible that I can get in there and do it myself? I'm pretty handy but have never taken on termites before...
