OTR microwave or ductless range hood or nothing

Hi everyone,

I will be buying my first investment property next month! It is a duplex I plan to house hack.

The unit that I will be renting needs a kitchen remodel (but comes with Fridge and oven range). The oven range does not come with a range hood, so I'm considering installing a recirculating microwave on top of the range or a ductless recirculating range hood. I would have to have an electrician provide a new circuit for either of these installs.

Based on your experiences which option would you recommend? I have seen some rentals do neither...

Thanks in advance for the advice!

MW/hood combos are so cheap now, under $200, and such a nice amenity in my small kitchens I do them exclusively now and regret the ones I didn't. I'd run the vent duct outside if you possibly can, greasy kitchens are nasty.
