Tenant Screening Help

I'm currently screening tenants on my first investment property. I've been using Zillow to advertise and utilize the rental application they offer. I've received a ton of interest and this has allowed me to keep everything in one place but I'm quickly learning the application is not as thorough as I would like. Any feedback on your experience with Zillow? I've looked into turbotenant and their application seems much more thorough although costing the tenant a little more.
