Do you guys use electronic/bluetooth lockboxs. We've been using them for about 2 yrs now. We can send potential tenants temporary code to view our homes, it's very convenient. I'm always kinda worried about theft or vandalism. We do make them send a pic over there ID. Any body have any input or stories?

@Mitch Messer The locks don't require WiFi to work. The two that I looked into both use a cryptography technology that allows you to generate one time access codes from their mobile app. When you as the owner setup the lock for the first using your phones Bluetooth and their mobile app it syncs up the cryptography tech that enables you to create as many one time passcodes as you like to handout to folks. I personally have not used these locks yet but I will be selecting one of them in the near future after a little more research on them.

These are the two I keep coming across. Personally I think Igloohome Keybox 3 is likely the best choice.

Here is some good videos on Mater Lock Bluetooth lock boxes.

Here's good explanation about the one time passcode cryptography Igloohome Bluetooth lock boxes use.

Here is a video explaining the setup of a one time passcode.

I see this thread is 2 years old but I came across it as I was researching this topic and wanted to share what I found.

I think the important point here is both of these lock boxes enable you to create one time passcodes that you can sent to perspective tenants. I like the idea of getting a photo of their ID before giving them the code. I may even put this in place for use with our boiler room since the existing lock box is easy to pick.
