Leaking Sink/ Water Damage Question
Hey BP!
So have a slight issue at one of my rental properties and want to see if I have any options here.
A few months ago, I had a plumbing company come and install my kitchen sink, pretty much at the time of move in.
After a few weeks, tenant reported a leak. Plumbing company went back to fix it, they didn't connect dishwasher properly, but at the time of 2nd visit, tenant reported possible mold, had Servpro (Fire/damage restoration company) go out to detect mold and water damage. Appears to be just water damage with a bill of $1400, they have to remove my cabinets, my granite , my backsplash to fix the wet drywall, and they cannot guarantee my granite and backslash won't be damaged after removing?
In this situation, can I submit a claim with plumbing company, file with my rental property home insurance or am I out of pocket here not including granite repair and re-instillation..
