Section 8 landlord selling your property

Section 8 landlord here. Can i sell the property as i would any other home? Does the new owner have to honor the current lease agreement with the Chicago Housing Authority? There’s 6 months left on the current lease. If it’s too much of a hassle I’ll wait it out. Or is it a pretty straight forward process?

I bought a SFH a few years ago with an inherited S8 tenant. However, I was planning to use it as a rental anyway, so that was fine with me.

The lease ended also 6 months after I bought the house.  I immediately drew up a new lease with my company as the Lessor, but honored all the conditions of the lease the tenant was currently under.  She and I both signed it.  I also went to the local S8 office and filled out some paperwork there, so the rent payments would start coming to me.  I did that within a couple days of my closing.
