I need a software for accounting rents and expenses

Ken Keati
Posted

My situation is this, we have 14 units, one duplex and the rest are standalone single family homes

We've been buying places and rehabbing them

We need software to keep track of it all... the expenses.. and the rental income... and the ability to print out all the needed reports for our accountant

I have done some looking around and searches here..... but I guess I'm not sure of the realities behind buildium appfolio and tenant cloud etc... So I'm hoping that one or two of you folks ahead of me could give some advice on what works for you

@Ken Keati I wish I had a perfect answer for you.

Those you mentioned are more tailored towards property managers, not investors.

I personally use property managers for all my properties. I played around with a few different options and ended up going with Quickbooks online.

Honestly its complicated, over my head, and I don't like it. But, it is the best option for buy and hold investors whom use a PM company.

Ive been tracking my account for 7 months, and have a professional bookkeeper tutoring me, and I still have a lot to learn.

A tech savvy person could make a killing by making a quality accounting platform that tracks Income/Expenses and automatically uploads your property managers statements. There just isn't any software for Investors only.

Best of luck!
