Collecting rent through mobile payment

Hello bigger pockets!

I was curious about some alternative methods of paying for rent in the "new age". Does anyone out there use a mobile payment service (such as venmo or cashapp) to collect rent. Planning for a future investment in a college university area I realize talking about "money orders and cashiers checks" can go over many college students heads.

I've read conflicting and favoring things, what are your thoughts? Are there any other creative strategies out there for collecting rent besides a check in the mail?

Looking forward to hear your thoughts!

Most people use Cozy.co but there are plenty of other options.

There are literally thousands of discussions on this and about a dozen per day. Go to the top of this page and click on the magnifying glass. Type in "online payment" and you'll see over 2,000 comments on this particular subject and I'm sure the answer you seek is in there.
