At my local REI meeting last night, a fellow landlord informed me all their tenants pay cash, and its illegal to not accept cash as a form of payment. Is this true?

If stated in the lease, how you want to be paid, can the tenants still pay cash?

Most larger management companies don’t take cash as it is too easy to steal and track. It’s not illegal in any states that I’m aware of.
