Security deposits in Nevada and how to legally deduct for repairs
We are purchasing a 4plex and will need to gut one of the units due to the condition the unit is currently in. The tenant's security deposit of $400 will be included in the sale to us. What are the steps or the process to notify the tenant that they will not be getting their security deposit back?

@Kristi Kandel if you know the rental is a mess and you suspect the tenant is responsible, why don't you make the current Landlord get rid of them and deal with the deposit so you can start fresh? You're essentially purchasing what could become an expensive problem if the tenant tries to fight you.
