Tax Appeal on Rental Property in NJ

Hello, BP! As a rental property owner, is it possible to do a tax appeal on your property for the next tax year? I had recently heard from a source that it was only possible to file for an appeal if the house is owner occupied.

Thanks!

Owner occupancy has nothing to do with it, appeal deadline is usually April.  There's tons of law firms that do appeals on contingency, so it will cost you a portion of what you save.  I was successful reducing the tax by a couple thousand dollars on one property a few years ago doing it DIY, but my comps for another were bad and got nothing.
