A/C thermostat stays at 82-84 degreees!!!!

Hi please some advice, I rent a one bedroom in Sunny South Florida , from around 8am all the way till 7-8pm depending how hot the day was the thermostat won’t budge under 82 degree F ... One plus is my electric is included in the price of rent ... but it’s unbearable to stay at home .... constantly sweating inside the house.. only an area where the vent is obviously can you find a coolness breeze other than that it’s feels like an oven... what can I do ? Should do ?
