RE: Section 8 rental

Hello to all at bigger pockets...

Hopefully you're all doing well. I have a section 8 in Volusia county ( Daytona Beach, FL area). My section 8 renter is actually great. She pays on time. But the Section 8 office in charge of sending there portion of the payment is a mess. I've had to chase section 8 for payment two months out of three.

Have any of you experienced anything like this before? Where the section 8 is less reliable than the tenant? If so, how did you remedy this?

I personally have not but my brother and stepfather have in many rentals in NJ.  My brother just assumed the payments would always be late, but that they would come and he built in buffer in his money management for this.
