Zillow Rental Manager question - removing phone #

I found much greater success with Zillow Rental Manager than other listing services, but I can't figure out if there's a way to remove my phone number from my listings. I have a full time job and I don't really have time to answer phone calls - I want to get people into my automated funnel.

I've input a dummy number (the number for information) but I'd rather remove information than have bad information. Anyone know how to remove or hide that information from my public listings.

*Also, if you're going to post some variation of "just go ahead and add your number" or some variation thereof, please save it - I've heard it before and choose to run my business differently. Thanks!

I think that Zillow more or less requires it, so your solution of putting the information number in is probably your best option, or even an automated message that instructs callers to email, text, just start the auto process, or whatever else you want them to do may be helpful.

However, in my opinion if as a tenant I couldn't talk to a real person and/ or see the unit before applying for it I would be less inclined to start your process.

It has a checkbox, right in the listing details where the phone is, "Hide phone on listing."

@Shawn Q. At the risk of angering you with a “variation,” I offer it not to you but to others that may be reading.

One of the best pieces of advice on here was to get a free google #. Then I just put text only and shut off the ring thru. Get voicemails at the end of the day or via email. Free and easy.

Inasmuch as Zillow has a checkbox to hide the phone number for the listing, I've checked the box three times in the last month only to have it continue to display.  Zillow syncs up with two other services (I think Trulia and Hotpads) and I thought maybe it would take a day or two for the change to ripple out, but alas--I go back in and have to check the "Hide phone number on listing" box AGAIN.  I'm about to try it from another browser.  :/

If you do not see the check box that people are talking about, make sure you have selected For rent by: owner. Then it will appear. If you select For rent by: Management Company / Broker then there is no option to hide your phone number. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

@Akeim Fin, I am so grateful for you pointing this out.  I had recently changed a listing from "by owner" to "property manager" and could not for the life of me figure out how to remove my phone number from the listing.  I changed it back to by owner and there you go.  Hopefully this will help others as well.

I contacted Zillow and they removed my phone number from my listings.  Intent was only for full time property managers
