My new favorite landlord app - MileIQ

With all of this talk about software- I thought I would post how much I love this app. I got it a little less than 2 weeks ago and it has been terrific with keeping track of all of my travels. For $64 a year I find it well worth the cost. It will track every trip I make by car (or train ;) ) and ask me if it was for business or personal- it will allow me to classify each trip (going for supplies, visiting buildings) and it will even auto classify recurring trips. It is simply a swipe right or swipe left that you can complete at the end of the day. And it will keep monthly and yearly reports of all your trips and the amount to claim.

I have had a very difficult time disciplining myself to keep track of all of our various trips as we spend a lot of time renovating and managing buildings not 5 miles away- this has largely solved it. I do wish there was a way to have my wife's tracked as well without having to have a separate account.

All in all it is awesome...

@John Underwood I am a REALTOR and Property Manager with 300 rentals. I've been using AndiCar on my Droid phone for about four years. It's completely free. I can track multiple vehicles, actual expenses, mileage, and more. Mileage can be manually entered or tracked by GPS. It allows me to set reminders so I log my mileage every day and so I back up my data at least once a month.
