Is it worth negotiating with your Property Manager?

Do you feel it’s appropriate to negotiate fees and structure with your PM? Do you ask your manager to follow your personal guidelines (mandatory renters ins, lease terms, etc) or do you just fall into your PM’s “typical” policies? Let’s hear from all

If you have room to negotiate meaning you would be bringing substantial amount of units to them, then sure go for it.

If you’re just starting and have two or three units, I wouldn’t bother unless they way overcharge or something.

If they just charge the standard 10 percent I wouldn’t try to short change them. Good property managers are hard to find and are worth their weight in gold
