Illegal entry and eviction by property owner not landlord

I have been living at a hunting camp owned by my friend. A verbal agreement was made for a one year stay starting in February. This camp is located on property owned by my estranged wife's grandfather. In May, on the day after the grandfater had me restrained with an order of protective custody which kept me against my will in a hospital for up to 15 days, he posted a 'NO PASS' on the camp door. I was not informed in advance nor after the fact by any official manner. In fact, the No Pass has now disappeared and the one who issured it hasn't got a copy to give me. I was informed by a family member who went to the camp to get a few personal items for me while I was kept in the hospital. The timing of this was very convenient for my estranged wife as we were to appear in court regarding the divorce in just one week. Can anyone steer me in the right direction. I need to know the laws. This person was not my landlord. He illegally evicted me and removed my belongings including the tools of my trade, stored some of them in HIS building. He has informed me that I cannot go on the property to retrieve my belongings without a sheriff escort or he will have me arrested. He hired a cleaning crew. Many of my things are missing. I suspect that they are now in the hands of my soon to be ex-wife. I am not a local boy. And I feel railroaded by the family and all their connections.

The only kind of hospital that a legal order can force you to stay in under the circumstances you describe is a mental institution. We're not being told the full story here. We shouldn't be. Your attorney should be told the full story. Get one now and don't say another word online (especially when you're using your first and last name as your user name.....)
