help! tenants refused to leave last second when lease terminated

I terminated lease, tenants confirmed they were moving on time, then backtracked and demanded 2 more weeks.

I only care because I have new tenants waiting in the wings, already background checked and prepaid.

Now what?

Serve the eviction notice and inform them that if they do not leave as agreed they will have a eviction on their record and will have difficulty ever finding a descent place to live.

You are in a position to play hard ball, do it.

Or cave and pay for a hotel for them and storage facility for their belongings. Throwing cash at difficult tenants is a common solution as well.
