Need Help With Potential Renters - BF Not on Lease

Hello,

I finally finished up renovations and I have an interested family for my 2 BR/1 BA apartment. The interested family is a couple (not married) w/ 2 children and 2 dogs. The only one applying and asking to be on the lease is the female who works full time and has a great record of income (+3x rent and steady job), paying on time, and no prior background issues.

The BF is not applying to be on the lease and I was wondering what needs to be done to have him held liable to all the provisions in the lease? Would he not be added to the lease because they are hiding something? What if they refuse to have him added?

Thanks,

Steve
