Should you accept a pet rabbit(s)?

What are your thoughts about pet rabbits? What experiences have you had with them? Have they destroyed your rental? Have you had a good experience with them?  Do you own rabbits? Do you require an extra security deposit? How many rabbits is too many?

This is of course pertaining to rabbits inside your rental dwelling, not the garage or barn.

I have some friends who had rabbits loose in an apt and they chewed up the woodwork in several spots.  If you allow pets then you would have allow them per say.  If they stay caged I don't see an issue but running around the house like a cat or dog then you will have problems.   If you decide to allow them I would step up / enforce your routine inspections to watch for damage.  If you find damage fix it at that time and bill accordingly and don't wait till the end of the lease.
