Lease Agreement and Eviction Notice

Hello Everyone,

I have a tenant who i inherited from the purchase a property on a one year lease, i don't intend to continue with this tenant once the lease is up. The lease agreement states that tenant should be give 30 days notification if i intend to evict. I plan on giving the tenant an eviction notice 90 days prior to the end of her lease stating that the her lease wont be renewed and also 30 days prior to the lease expiration as stated in the lease agreement.

I live in upstate NY, is this legally allowed and do you think its a good idea. I'm of the opinion that 30 days won't be enough time to look for and move to a new apartment and in my own lease agreement i state it as 90 days and 30 days prior notice.

Thank You
