Renting a unfinished mobile home
I found an old mobile home for rent. It's hidious on the outside (needs paint) and the inside, they began remodeling but didn't finish. Okay it's 250 a month and 2 bedroom, more like 1.5 bedrooms lol. There is subfloor throughout the trailer as no flooring has been put down. Landlord said I could buy the materials and he would put it down on the floor and anything over 250 comes out his pocket, or I can do it myself. If he does it, he will require a deposit, amd dent will increase, if I do it, no deposit and rent stays the same. I don't know what to do. I can't live in it the way it is. I meant I COULD, but it would make for a harder time laying flooring. The kitchen cabinets are crap anD the stove has the glass missing in the front. I could fix everything myself cheaper than I could rent any other, nicer or not, property in the area. But money is tight this week and I don't want to pay rent before I'm actually living there. I also have to pay a 400 deposit to have electricity turned on. I want to work out a deal with the landlord. Maybe pay 100 to hold the property until I lay the flooring and get the lights turned on ( about 3 weeks) and then begin paying rent and living there. Does that seem fair?
