Tenant admitted to treatment facility

Got an interesting e-mail over the weekend from a new tenant.  Been living in unit for 2 months, was screened with good credit, employment reference from a reputable company (hiring manager verified and checked out, etc.).  We are proud of our screening record and this is the first problem we have had.  E-mail says tenant has been admitted to a long-term treatment facility for substance abuse.  We naturally replied that regardless of that, the tenant still has obligations to pay rent because he has signed lease.

My initial thought is post 5 day tomorrow and start eviction, but if he isnt at apartment, he is considered served?  Do I need to try to find out what treatment center he is in?  Is there any thing we need to be careful of in this situation?

Thanks in advance.
