HELP: Left corporate; starting company. Need to rent in new city

Hi,

My question is about how to successfully pass a rental application when starting your own company.

I recently took a Leave of Absence from my corporate job in order to found a company...some time has passed and I now need to move to a different city (Austin texas). I'm still in the development phase of the company, and am not generating much revenue (expect to soon...).

Current stats:
Credit Score >750
Credit util 8%
Personal bank accnt = 60k
Company bank accnt = 50k
Current monthly payments (car & health ins) = $800
Currently paying myself $7500/month (transfer from company bank to my personal)

I'm going to be submitting several apartment rental applications.

What is the best way to present my current situation so I can pass the application? How do I prove income?

I am still officially "employed" by my corporate job (previously ~ $12k/month before sabbatical). My 2016 tax return has all my W-2 income from my corporate job. If you call the corporate HR, they will still say that I am employed (not sure if they give out my LoA status?). So, do I explain my situation to the leasing company, or do I just submit the application as if I was still receiving income from my corporate job?

Thanks in advance for all the help
Joe
