Short rental for buyer before closing

Hello guys,

I am selling this property and closing should happen sometime at the beginning of July. Mu buyer closes on the sale of his a few days before and asked if I would rent him the house until closing (just a few days)

Other than a rental agreement, what kind of protections, precautions should I have in place. What should I consider? My plan is to rent it for a whole week and divide the typical monthly rental by 4...is that ok or should I bump it a bit more given that is a short rental?

Thank you in advance!

@Allende Hernandez, I normally agree with everything @Marcia Maynard says, but this is one time I have to disagree with her.

Your buyer could move in and fail to close, like @Scott Weaner said. Your buyer could also move in, discover issues and hold the property 'hostage' demanding you repair this or that.

While it sounds like you'd be doing them a favor, you may be shooting yourself in the foot. I would not do it.
