A tenant pays for a broken door right?

Hey guys so here's the situation about a week ago I get a call at 7am from one of my tenants saying she locked her keys inside her apartment and she needs them to get to work. I gave her 2 options I can call a locksmith to help, but she will be billed or I can make my way up there which would take about 1 1/2 hours. She said she'll wait for me. About 20 mins later I get a call saying she was able to get in, I didn't question it at the time I was just relieved I didn't have to drive out there. So I get a call this weekend asking if I could come look at the door something is wrong with the lock, so I go up (they aren't home) and noticed the door is splitting. Now common sense says that she did that while trying to get back in after being locked out. Now she should be liable for this fix right?, but I don't have any proof she broke it is what I'm worried about. I inherited these tenants so I don't have a move in checklist, but I know that door wasn't like that. I guess if they see a problem in paying I can just take the money out of the security deposit right but I just have to make a paper trail.

When it comes to tenants and damage there are no coincidences.

You know what happened, we know what happened, I would send her the bill.
