List By Owner or Hire Someone?

I would like to know what your preference is. Do you try to list your property for rent or would you rather hire someone? What are the advantages / disadvantages?

My tenants just notified me that they will be moving out in 6 weeks. Our realtor did a PHENOMENAL job listing our property, setting up an open house, and finding our current tenants. Since I have 6 weeks before move-out, is it worth it to try to find a tenant on my own?
