Late fees without a lease
I have been living in this unit for 7mo without a lease. The property manager has a due date on rent as the last day of the previous month. So June's rent was due on May 31st. My question is can he legally charge me late fees without a lease? I paid rent on June 2nd and he is charging me $20 for the 1st day and $15 for the 2nd.

From nolo.com. Not legal advice.
Nebraska Rules on Late Fees
Rent is legally due on the date specified in your lease or rental agreement (usually the first of the month). If you don’t pay rent when it is due, the landlord may begin charging you a late fee. Nebraska state law does not cover late rent fees. If your lease or rental agreement does not say anything about late fees, your landlord may not impose one, no matter how reasonable it is.
