BRRRR Strategy with Inherited Tenants?

Just curious, I'm walking through a Duplex this Saturday and tenants currently occupy the property. This would be a "BRRR" deal that would require some work to be done in order to eventually refinance down the road. My question is, If I ended up purchasing the property what would be the right thing to do with the tenants? Has anyone come across this? I would hate to just throw a family out on the street while the repairs are being done.

Any ideas or experience?

@Cody Harris Can you renovate on side, then get them out near the end of the own side, or are you wanting to get both done at the same time? I usually renovate one side, get it rented and then start on the second one
