Adding a "new rule" to the leases
Could use some insight. I have a brand new 4plex I house hack and I am most concerned about keeping it and the neighborhood in tip top shape. I have a tenant who has used his backyard as a storage area and his stuff is now nasty and trashed. I would like to amend the lease to in some way say that tenants cannot unnecessarily fill their backyard space with crap. It makes lawn care impossible and in this tenants case has ruined the grass. I would like it to only be a grill allowed back there. What do you think fellow BPers?

You would simply include a line in their new lease at renewal that tenants are not permitted to leave any personal items outside on the property with the exception of ..............
Make sure you have all tenants on M2M and as issues arise you add them to the lease.
