Growhouse - Dispensary Rentals

Reading another forum thread, I started to wonder what are the issues with state-legal growhouses and dispensaries but federally illegal source of income?

I'm in Colorado - the first state to legalize it. We've been working out the kinks after being thrust into the issue.

Currently illegal on the federal level, many dispensaries have trouble finding banking. Banks are federal level, so those laws apply. Dispensaries cannot take credit cards, and don't have anywhere to deposit the cash.

How would renting to a grow house or dispensary work? Does it fall into the legal issues that the actual distributors face, and income cannot be deposited into a bank account? Or does this not matter because it's rent?
