WA State Statutes for Deposits

Hey, guys! In FL, we have laws around how security deposits are managed (FL Statute 83.49). My property in FL has a separate account, managed by the property management company just for this purpose. Is there an equivalent in Washington State, King County? I'm moving here and am now on the flipside as a renter.  I'm rather unnerved that the landlord has a real estate broker handling the lease and she seems to have no idea how deposits are handled. She says the money will go to the landlord's account and I should trust them.  She actually said that!! I'm pushing back, of course, but would love your input.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Washington! I have rentals and currently use a dedicated savings account separate from my operating account, like I did in Utah. I should check on this to be sure as well, but I've never had an issue yet, because I promptly account for damages and cleaning, then refund the difference on their deposit immediately.
