Taxes on new property
Pocketeers!
I purchased a rental property around mid-December 2016. I do not have tenants yet, so wondering if I can/should file my taxes including my expenses on the property. Not sure if it is "technically" considered a rental property yet since no tenants and the IRS website wasn't much help. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

@Andre Lewis this is still an investment property for you and you are fully within your rights to start claiming this on your tax returns.
