Do you rent to pet owners?

I'm looking for feedback specifically from landlords who used to NOT rent to people with pets, and then changed their policy. Do you feel that changing your policy widened your pool of GOOD tenants? Helped you fill vacancies even in low turnover seasons? And has the change been successful for you? Thanks for your input!

I like to meet the pets.... mean nasty pets means mean nasty tenant.

My favorite pets are cute, fluffy and don't bit.
