Managing Investment Properties - bookkeeping, finances, taxes....

We have rental properties with 3 different property managers around the country and also a couple other properties that we self manage.  I am trying to determine a way of keeping track of our return on investment and other general financial management.  I was thinking Quickbooks might work but having a hard time understanding the steps necessary to consolidate the data. For example, would I need to import data from my various property managers into one system?  I just don't even know where to start.  I would be happy to just hire someone if I could find someone good.  I want to be able to keep track of our properties success/failure and hopefully have things ready come tax time each year. Thoughts? Suggestions?  Thanks in advance.
