Budgeting for new appliances.

Hi Everyone!

I'm in the process of renovating a unit. The kitchen is gutted and I'm shopping for new appliances. The target rent is $1200. I think if I make the space look nice enough I can get it.

Is there a number people aim for when buying new appliances? I only need a fridge and a stove. Right now it looks like a nice set will cost about $1400 and less nice set will be about $1100.

Is this too much? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
