Landlord insurname ???
hello everyone, I am new in real estate investment and I have some questions about landlord insurance.
I currently have a house rented that's is producing some decent cash flow and I'm in the process of buying an apartment. I'm not sure if I should get landlord insurance to protect myself in case of any liabilities.
Please I would love to hear your point of view.

@Carlos Lopez You definitely need Liability insurance on any property you are renting out. But the name of the policy is not as important as the name that the policy is written in.
These policies can be named "Landlord", "Rental Dwelling", "Apartment", etc. The important thing is that the policy is in the name the property is deeded and the name the property operates under.
Example, you buy an apartment under ABC, LLC, you do not want to get the policy in only your name. You will want it in the name of ABC, LLC. You, as the owner of ABC, LLC will automatically be protected under the General Liability policy.
