A.T. Smith - avoid like the plague

Posted

When making an appointment to see an apartment with the manager Ruby I was stood up 3 times. When I finally did move into a unit I thought everything would be fine.
WRONG!!
I lived there for 3 days and didn't even have food in the apartment and I saw a mouse running across my floor.
I immediately called Ruby and sent her an e-mail and to no avail was ignored. I had many work orders in and it took an entire week for anyone to come fix any of the issues.
The mice, however, were not taken care of. I woke up at 2am one night to a mouse in my bed. The management staff at A.T. Smith and Co was extremely un-responsive. I work in the property management business and any time any of our residents have a problem we take care of it right away and we exterminate any pests ASAP.
This company told me that any sort of extermination is my responsibility and that is something that I should know.
Obviously this company knew of the existing pest problems, purposely did not let on the information, and the health and safety of their residents is not a concern.
I highly recommend anyone and everyone to avoid this place like the plague.
It is seriously unsafe to live on any of their properties!!!

I have purchased new construction homes twice, and even they have had a few critters to evict. My parents just cleared their attic of mice in a home they built years ago, and my mother is a cleanaholic. Unless you live in a glass bubble, they will find a way in. We have been using one of those plug in devices that supposedly sends some kind of signal through the wiring to keep critters out; it seems to work.
