Snow removal advice in Jersey City NJ

Hi everyone,

I recently joined the BP community. First, I'd just like to introduce myself. I'm a fairly new investor in the Jersey City area. I bought my first multi-family in 2015 which I currently owner-occupy.

We are looking for our second property in the JC/Bayonne area, but like a lot of others here have said, the competition is tough!

Anyway, we manage our current property ourselves. It has a long, wide driveway with extra parking in the back. We are renting out the parking spots. It's a fairly large size area (around 1500 sq ft).

We're contemplating whether or not we should continue to use our mini electric  snowblower or hire someone on a contract/seasonal basis.  The one big storm that hit NJ hard recently was tough with how big the lot is, even with a team of 4 of us shoveling/using the snowblower, it was exhausting! The pro is we still owner-occupy it, but in the future, it may become harder to manage.

How do you guys handle the snow removal situation for your properties? Can anyone PM me a snow removal contractor that you recommend? Any advice on this topic would be highly appreciated!

Look forward to hearing from you all. Feel free to PM me and connect with me!

Jennifer

I suggest that if you do continue to do it yourself, get a real snow blower! Not some "mini-electric."
