What do you all think about fining landlords hundreds or thousands of dollard for renting to illegal aliens?

Are landlords the people to hurt for our illegal alien crisis?

:wowie: I think we need to look at the big picture here.

Sorry. It is going on in parts of Pennsylvania, but other areas are looking at similar laws.

Wow. I really don't know if I can pick a side to that one. On one hand anyone who is violating the law should not be treated with hospitality in this country. On the other hand, we have allowed them to come in and looked the other way for a long time so it seems a little rash to be in an uproar about it now.

Amy this gets me going - not to sound partisan, but the Republican party is only looking out for their own interests. As Mblaff stated, we have allowed this for so many years and now the government is trying to pass the buck on everyone except those who should be fined - business who hire illegal aliens knowingly. I'm in human resources by profession and any honest hr professional with good ethics know that it is against the law to hire anyone without authorization to work in the US - it's called the I-9 form. We alrealy had a mass amesty in 1986 - now we have to do it again and instead of going after businesses that keep the flow coming, they will try to fine us who are trying to make a honest living in REI. Shame on our politicians and the big businesses that pay them off.
