Decorating advice for higher end rental

I recently purchased a 2452 sq. ft. 3/2 home on 2 acres that was built in 2006. The home was a bank owned foreclosure. It needs paint, flooring, minor plumbing, small carpentry jobs, landscaping and hvac work.

I plan on renting the home and I'm looking for advice on decorating. It is a higher end rental at $1,500.00 per month so I don't want to paint it all one color like I might with lower priced rentals. I think I have to make it look designer like for executive type (higher end) renters.

I'm specifically looking for paint color schemes and flooring/carpet advice. The kitchen has medium colored wood cabinets with brass hardware and green laminate counter tops. There is carpet in the living room, rec room, stairs, upstairs hallway and bedrooms.

Thank you for any input you can give me.
