Post: Health Insurance for self employed and investors

Hi, I wanted to know if anyone could share strategy's relating to reducing heath insurance costs for self-employed and investors?

The numbers I am getting for me, my wife and three kids (21, 19 & 16) are simply outrageous.

As with anything there must be strategy's to work around this...to paraphrase Robert Kyosaki "the rich always find a way to work around the government trying to redistribute their wealth".

To share something I have heard of in this realm...there is a preventative plan from WellMec that qualifies under ACA and this coupled with a plan from My Health Pass can reduce costs a great deal!

Thanks in advance for any input!

Post: Apartment renovation: Dishwasher or no diswasher?

Hi, we purchased a 4 unit (all 2 bed 1 bath) on riverfront here in Harrisburg, PA that we are trying to improve into more luxury type apartments, one unit was already renovated really nicely (long story) and is up for rent (previous post: What am I doing wrong in Harrisburg). A second unit has recently become vacant and we are doing a complete renovation including a brand new kitchen.

My question is: should I go to the extra expense (up to $,1000) of moving the water/drain lines to include a dishwasher? It's a small kitchen and cabinet space is at a premium, so which is more important cabinet space or dishwasher? Also, since most likely only one or two people will be living there is a dishwasher really important from your experience? Thanks to all that can help!

Thank you to everyone that commented, we are using some of the suggestions. If any of the people that commented who are local want to hook up and brainstorm/swap war stories I'm interested. Thanks!

Been on market about a month, only two applications, rent seems comparable or better than others. We have a lot of competition from some apartment complexes in the area, they flood Craigslist with ads multiple times each day. Thanks.

Hello, we purchased a 4 unit in Harrisburg PA, renovated a unit and are trying to rent it but have not had much interest. Can someone check out our listing and give us some critique?

Recently purchased a four unit and trying to decide what to do about the water/sewer. Guardian seems like a good way to go but to pay $500 each and $2,000 for their meters seems like a lot. What is your opinion?
